What Sufra is
Sufra is a meal-planning app for households. You save recipes, plan a week, and build a grocery list, and you can share all of that with the people you cook with.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, a display name you choose, and a password (stored only as a secure hash).
- What you add: recipes, photos, meal plans, grocery lists, pantry items, and the people and preferences you set up in your household, including any allergies or diets you enter.
- Usage basics: standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, kept briefly for security and debugging.
We don't collect payment details today. If that changes, a payment provider will handle them and this page will be updated.
How we use it
- To run the app: show your recipes and plans to you and the members of your household.
- To power features you ask for: when you import a recipe, ask for suggestions, or estimate nutrition, the relevant text or image is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to be processed. We send only what the feature needs, and Anthropic does not use API data to train its models.
- To send you email you requested, such as sign-in links and password resets.
We don't sell your data, and we don't show ads.
Who can see your data
Members of your household can see everything in that household. Nobody outside it can, apart from the services below that store or process data on our behalf.
- Supabase hosts the database, sign-in, and photo storage.
- Vercel hosts the app.
- Anthropic processes recipe text and images for AI features.
- An email provider delivers sign-in and reset emails.
Recipe photos are stored at unguessable addresses but are technically public links, so treat photos as shareable.
Your choices
- Edit or delete any recipe, plan, or list at any time inside the app.
- Leave a household from Settings. Your account stays; the household's shared data stays with its remaining members.
- To delete your account and everything only you own, email us and we'll do it within 30 days.
Cookies
We use only cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember small preferences like your chosen household and layout. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Children
Sufra is for adults. You can add children as people in your household so their portions and allergies are counted, but children shouldn't create their own accounts.
